System requirements and recommendations
Given that you have a web browser, VirusimagingTM doesn’t require any additional software installations on your computer. However, the following system requirements and recommendations are important to maximise the user experience and benefits.
Computer
Recommendation: at least 1 GHz processor and 1 GB memory.
Internet connection
Recommendation: downlink = 2 Mb/s and uplink = 0.5 Mb/s.
Web browser
VirusimagingTM is optimised for Internet Explorer 6 and 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2 and 3, with screen resolution 1024x768 pixels.
Digital image quality and format
VirusimagingTM supports the most common image types such as JPEG, BMP and TIFF. Further to TIFF-images other image types with metadata are supported. For detection and calculation of particles, TEM images with resolution of at least 1 Megapixel are recommended to maximize the benefits of automation (i.e. enabling many particle detections per image).
